Once you have selected a puzzle from the menu at left, you will be taken to an interactive crossword puzzle. For all of you oldies that prefer to do it by hand (crosswords, that is) each puzzle will give you the option to print out a Printer friendly version if you would prefer this.
The link to the Printer Friendly version is located at the very bottom of each page.
If you do print out a puzzle, you can go back to the interactive page for that particular puzzle to see if it is correct.
In the interactive version, you can either select a word sequence in the grid, or select a clue in the left panel to highlight that word.
If the selected word is completely highlighted, each letter entry should automatically progress to the next logical spot.
In either case, you can enter your preferred letters in sequence by using either the mouse or the arrow keys on your keyboard.
At the bottom of the crossword grid, you will see two buttons. Check puzzle and I give up
If the puzzle is incomplete, the Check puzzle option will highlight the incorrect entries with a red cross.
If the puzzle is incomplete, but with no errors, nothing will happen.
If the puzzle is complete and correct, you will get a congratulations message.
By clicking the I give up button, the puzzle will automatically fill, and you will get a "Swan song" for not completing the puzzle by yourself.
