Conversion programs, slide shows, games, music, handy links and more. What more could a person ask for? Admittedly, a lot of it could be old hat, and may include stuff you already have or know about, but who cares? You may find something here that interests you.
There are two conversion programs included here. One is there for my colleagues in the Hydraulic industry (which I wrote myself), the other a very handy little general conversion utility. What's more, both of them are completely free.
At some time in the future, I may write more programs that can be utilised here.
Please read the instructions next to each program (if any) for important details before downloading.
Hydraulic Components Conversion
I wrote this program back in 2001, and have since replaced the software I wrote it with. For that reason, I cannot change the original program. That is why it is currently freeware.
Should I have enough interest in developing a newer version, there may be a small fee to cover software costs and time spent in development.
After downloading, unzip the file to a seperate folder on your hard drive or Desktop.
Locate the folder you unzipped to, and run the "Install.exe" file
Should the file you are downloading try to open instead, close it immediately and do the following.
Right click the link, then select "Save Target as . . " from the sub menu. Select a place on your hard drive to save it to, then click "Save".
This is a handy little conversion program I picked up along the way some time back. It will convert just about anything you can think of. Distance, temperature, mass, volume, pressure and lots more.

If you are having trouble viewing the Opening clip, any of the Menus within my site, or any of the slide shows and videos on this page, this program may help. It will install a media player on your computer that will play such files.
There are two files in this download. After unzipping, install the larger file first, and then the "Plugins" file.
During installation, make sure you select the SWF box in the File Type Association choices.
This is a link to a free web site where you can stream (listen to) all sorts of music in different catagories. It's main feature is a list of most popular songs from certain years.
Please be aware that when "streaming" files over the net, it is similar to downloading. That is, the data usage equal to the size of the file you are streaming is added to your data usage allocated by your ISP.
International Currency Exchange Rates
This is a useful site where you can view just about any details on just about any currency in the world. The top option of the main menu at the left also gives you access to a very handy currency convertor.
Net Lingo Internet Dictionary
Confused with all the acronyms, technical terms etc. used on the net? Well, here is the solution. A regularly updated site that explains all, even for the newbie, or novice.
The Internet Movie Database
You think you're a bit of a movie (and television) buff? Here is a site for you. It's too hard to explain all that this site has, but you can search titles, actors, time periods and more. This site has it all.
Here's one for everybody that loves to use those shopper dockets on the back of your supermarket receipts. Wasted the one you want by cutting off the fuel voucher? Thrown your docket in the bin and can't find it? Well here you can simply print out a new one.
My partner and myself went to visit the Hunter Valley Gardens (located amongst the vineyards of the Hunter Valley in New South Wales, Australia) back on April 13, 2007. I took a few photos with my digital camera, and here is the result.

A novel little game that will test your mouse skills. Very easy to play, but heaps of fun. I have made it into a zip file so that it will download instead of opening.
You will need to have Microsoft Excel installed on your computer to play this game.
Solitaire on a computer is a favourite of many. This program is the best I have seen to date. The latest version has over 400 varieties to choose from. The last time I checked, the full licence was $19.95 (US).
From memory, this free trial only gives you access to about 8 games, and the Undo and Redo options are disabled. To purchase , you will need to download the latest version, currently about 10MB.
The Mahjong Suite comes from the same company as the SolSuite card game above. Over 80 varieties of the classic Mahjong games. They vary from easy to very hard. It also includes some Memory-up games. The full version has extra tile sets to choose from which can be installed free of charge.

DVD Shrink is a free program with which you can shrink large DVD movies to fit onto a standard DVD recordable disc. It also decodes any copyright protection to enable viewing.
With this handy program, you can convert almost any sound file to any other format you wish. For example, you can convert large WAV files into a smaller more compact MP3 file.
Lone Wolf Desktop Calander
Just a brilliant small Calender. Make notes, display a year calander and have a different picture displayed for each month ! Very Nice.
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Uitility
FTP is the quickest and easiest way to transfer files over the net to and from various servers etc. if you have use for this sort of thing. This one is free, and supplied by FileZilla.
Do you have hundreds of different Fonts on your PC and can never find the right one for a particular job? This is by far the best Font viewer available, view all your Fonts in any colour, size & type of text.
